Contemporary transitions of
understanding
Natural Equilibrium - Contemporary Transitions of understanding, is an international contemporary art exhibition with a focus on the display artistic reflections on natural order, balance, adaptation, and the cyclic nature of things. An exhibition developed in collaboration with an international group of artists.
How can these natural processes be visualized
and explained in contemporary art? An artistic research into reaching equilibrium
by responding, adjusting, and adapting to stimulus, actions or interventions is
nature’s way of doing things. Nature’s single most characteristic cycle - the
birth-growth-decay-death and birth again. In the end, it is all about humans
and the responsibilities associated with human actions - either in applying the
equilibrium principle to understand nature and harness its resources, or in
conserving and sustaining the beauty of natural canvas for the future. Human
behavior - actions, reactions, and associated uncertainties - is much more
difficult to understand than physics of nature and its uncertainty.
An exhibition concept developed by the Dutch curator
and artist Ron Weijers for the artists for artist 10dence platform. The
artworks on display are an artistic vision and reflection on the concept of the
Natural Equilibrium exhibition in a broader sense. The aim of the exhibition is
to promote and stimulate thinking patterns within a rapidly changing world. The
artworks naturally provide food for thought from various points of view and the
content of the exhibition focuses on stimulating dialogue and discussion among
visitors about the theme.
The Natural
Equilibrium - Contemporary Transitions of understanding exhibition is
programmed to be on display in August/September 2023.
